Afghanistan earthquake kills more than 800
JALALABAD – A massive rescue operation was underway in Afghanistan Monday, after a strong earthquake and mul-tiple aftershocks flattened homes in a remote, mountainous region, killing more than 800 people, the Taliban authorities said.
